My name is David Dodge and I am a Service-Disabled Veteran and a Learning & Development Professional. 

As a Service-Disabled Veteran, I am dedicated to serving businesses with the same precision, dedication, and excellence I demonstrated during my military career. Las Vegas, Nevada based Affinity Learning is proud to be a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB).

A Journey of Service and Expertise

As a Service-Disabled Veteran and the founder of Affinity Learning, I bring over two decades of military service, technical expertise, and professional learning development to businesses seeking innovative training solutions.

Military Service

I proudly served 20 years in the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, working on advanced airframes including the F-16, F-117, and F-22.

During my distinguished career, I:

  • Served as a Master Instructor on the F-16

  • Managed Training Development for the F-22 Program

  • Deployed during Operation Southern Watch to King Khalid AB, Saudi Arabia

  • Received multiple military commendations, including:

    • Two Meritorious Service Medals

    • Three Air Force Commendation Medals

    • Five Air Force Achievement Medals

Professional Evolution

My professional journey has been defined by adaptability and a passion for learning.

After retiring from the military, I translated my instructional expertise into corporate learning and development roles at prestigious companies such as:

  • Arcata Associates

  • SolarCity

  • Tesla

With a degree in Architecture and extensive experience in learning solutions, I founded Affinity Learning to help businesses develop their most valuable asset—their people

As of November 2024, Affinity Learning is now certified as the following:

Veteran Community Involvement

David is a dedicated member of his community, finding great satisfaction in giving back. As a veteran, he is equally committed to making a difference for veterans, supporting the Help R Heroes organization in their mission to create a brighter future for those who have served their country.

David also serves as Secretary on the board for CyRoot Academy a non-profit whose goal is to provide veterans with the educational information and training related to careers in Information Technology and Cybersecurity as they transition to civilian life.

  • Supported Tee off for Vets and Tech Charity Golf Tournament through scholarships and support with Nick G going to represent AL 

  • Upcoming Event (July 2) - Morning Blend local TV morning show as speaker with Vox and Jessica prior to 4th of July to talk about CyRoot Academy's mission
